Tuscher, Father Joseph

Joseph Tuscher was born in Brookline, Massachusetts, in the Archdiocese of Boston, on October 5, 1878. He entered St. Charles College on September 10, 1894. He later studied at St. Mary’s Seminary and was ordained in 1904. After ordination he became a Sulpician and taught at St. Charles College for some years. After he left St. Charles and the Sulpicians, he taught at Bishop England High School in Charleston, South Carolina. When he returned to Boston, he served as an assistant at St. Joseph’s Church in Amesbury, and as pastor at Nativity Church in Merrimac and at St. Mary’s Church in Randolph. He died on August 14, 1941.
