Fitzgerald, Father Thomas

Thomas Francis Fitzgerald was born in Fall River, Massachusetts, on December 13, 1897. He attended Holy Cross College in Worcester, Massachusetts from 1916 to 1918. In 1918 he entered St. Mary’s Seminary in Baltimore; there he completed Philosophy. He then went to the Sulpician Seminary (now Theological College) at Catholic University in Washington, D.C. He was ordained to the priesthood on June 7, 1924. In September of that year he went to St. Joseph’s College in Mountain View, California, where he taught Latin, Greek, and Mathematics. In 1925 he entered the Solitude in Catonsville, Maryland. After finishing Solitude, he taught Latin, English, and Mathematics at St. Charles College in Catonsville, Maryland.
