Kraemer, Father Eugene

Eugene Joseph Kraemer was born on December 16, 1895, in Krakow in Galicia. He attended the Redemptorist College in North East, Pennsylvania, and began his theological studies at St. Mary’s Seminary in 1917. He was ordained on May 25, 1920, for the Diocese of Wilmington. He entered the Solitude in Catonsville, Maryland, in October, 1921. After teaching at St. Charles College he returned to his diocese, where he had several appointments. One of them was at Our Lady of Sorrows in Centerville, Maryland, where he oversaw the erection of a beautiful church. At the time of his death, Father Kraemer was pastor of St. Patrick’s Church in Wilmington, Delaware. He died on February 6, 1950.
