Vincent Sullivan, as he was usually called, was born in Akron, Ohio, on May 27, 1913. After studies at St. Charles College and Theological College, he made his Solitude in Catonsville as a deacon in 1939-40. Ordained to the priesthood in the chapel of St. Charles College on May 2, 1940, he became a Sulpician in 1942. After teaching in Seattle at St. Edward’s Seminary for several years, he went to the Diocese of San Diego where, for the next forty years, he fulfilled several priestly offices including seminary work, high-school work, and parish work. He left St. Sulpice in 1948. He died as the retired pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Indio, California, on January 26, 1988.
